Khadija Mahmood Trust Hospital (KMTH) is located in the heart of Faisalabad. It was built in 1997 by Chaudhary Umar Draz Khan and Dr. Khalid Mahmood khan in memory of their parents. The main purpose of the hospital was to cater for the medical needs on charity for the very poor and the needy classes. KMTH is built over eight acres of land, which was donated by the two brothers (Chaudhary Umar Draz and Dr. Khalid Mahmood Khan) and the construction of the hospital was undertaken entirely through local funding and personal resources. No government funding for the construction of the hospital and its running has been obtained from the government or any NGO (non-government organization) since then.
Faisalabad is the third largest city of Pakistan with a population of over ten million people. Although Faisalabad can proudly claim to have one of the best medical colleges and affiliated teaching hospitals in the country, the health facilities in the government sectors are still limited to only two hospitals, which are grossly insufficient to meet the need of wide spread populace of Faisalabad. In these circumstances, trust hospitals are a great blessing for the local population of the area, some of whom are living beyond the poverty level.
The hospital has a spacious and impressive building, which is within easy reach of the very poor and the needy classes living around the downtown of Faisalabad such as Tariqabad, Gulistan Colony, General Bus Stand, hajvairy Town and Chak Chibban. The Foundation stone of the hospital was laid in August 1989 by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, shaheed Mohtarmah Benazir Bhutto. The hospital building was completed in 1996 and on 15 January 1997 it was opened to the general public for treatment of outdoor patients only. Later indoor treatment was also opened to the general public. Since then, our doctors are providing the best possible free of cost general medical care to an average of 150 – 200 (one hundred & fifty to two hundred) patients daily.
Ch. Umar draz Khan and Dr. Khalid Mahmood built Khadija Mahmood Trust Hospital in the memory of their parents.

The covered area of hospital is 79,000 Square Feet almost 25%. Khadija Mahmood Trust Hospital was built solely with personal resources. The total cost of this hospital was 13,038,416. The doors were opened to outdoor patients in January 1997. The total capacity of our indoor beds is 250, including private rooms.
Our basic and most important objective is to provide best available high quality medical and diagnostic facilities to the patients, irrespective of their ability to pay.
To spread awareness among the local residents about general health cares, personal hygiene and family planning.
Although Faisalabad has one of the best medical college and affiliated teaching hospital of the county but the general health and medical care facilities are not that widely available, as they should be.
There are some highly equipped private hospitals but their cost of medical care is out of reach of the common man.
